New Zealand Animal Evaluation Limited (NZAEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of DairyNZ, manages animal evaluation for the dairy industry.
AE runs are carried out every month to update animal indices with the latest data (from herd tests, matings, calvings etc.).
As MINDA is directly connected to the animal database, updates to MINDA can't take place while the run is happening.
During AE runs:
- MINDA LIVE is offline
- MINDA App can be used, updates will queue and be added once the AE run is complete
The majority of an AE run takes place overnight to minimise disruption however we appreciate any disruption to MINDA is frustrating. We've recently carried out work on the technology platforms which support MINDA which has made the AE runs go faster. MINDA will only be offline during AE runs from 10pm, Friday to 5am, Saturday (previously midday).
